James William Parkinson was born on April 8, 1943 to Marvin and Jeannie Parkinson in Casper, Wyoming. He had two brothers, Marvin and Philip and one sister, Jean Lowndes. Jim attended school in Casper and graduated from NCHS in 1961. Jim went into the Army in May, 1965 and served until 1967.
Jim married, his soulmate, Donna Carrier on September 10, 1966. Together they had three children, James Wayne, Aaron Edward and Amanda Lynn.
Jim worked in the trucking field for many years and owned and operated the Glenrock Casper Truck Line, after selling, he then bought a trailer court and Douglas Cycle Yamaha Shop. He then went to work for Amoco from which he retired.
Jim loved traveling, fishing, snowmobiling, hunting, camping, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Elks, Eagles, American Legion, Henry’s Lake Foundation, Family Motor Coach Association and Good Sam’s plus various other organizations.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Parkinson and mother, Regina Parkinson, brother, Marvin Parkinson and mother-in-law, Betty Carrier.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna, sons, James, Aaron wife Stephanie, and daughter Amanda Wood, brother Philip wife Linda, sister Jean Lowndes, grandkids Aric, Devon, David, and McKenna Parkinson, Eric Yeager wife Carleigh, great grandkids, Kathryn and Abigail, multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and great friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Mountain View Baptist Church, 4250 W. Poison Spider Road, Mills, Wyoming. Internment will be at the Oregon Trail State Veterans Cemetery in Evansville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Henry’s Lake Foundation, Elks Building Fund, Elks Children’s Fund or Elks VA fund would be appreciated.

Melvin Ray Love, 49, passed away on August 2, 2017 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wyoming after his 3rd battle with cancer. Melvin was born on October 24, 1967 in Thermopolis, Wyoming.
He attended Hot Springs County High School. He married Julie Bredenberg in Casper, Wyoming, they later divorced.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the mountains. Melvin also loved spending time with his son Keatyn and his family. He loved watching Keatyn play basketball, He always said Keatyn was his greatest accomplishment.
Melvin is survived by his son, Keatyn Love of Casper, Wyoming; stepson, Nik Conrad of Pinedale, Wyoming; mother, Audrey Love of Thermopolis, Wyoming; sisters, Jackie (Dave) Shaffer of Casper, Wyoming, Lynn (Wes) Paschall of Upton, Wyoming, and Becky Lawyer of Casper, Wyoming; brothers, Jay (Colleen) Blakesley of Thermopolis, Wyoming, and Emory (Debbie) Blakesley of Thermopolis; and a plethora of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Love of Thermopolis, Wyoming; brother, Lonnie Blakesley of Thermopolis; and brother-in-law, Elden Lawyer of Casper, Wyoming.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Risen Sun Baptist Church in Thermopolis with a reception to follow at the church.
Memorial donations may be made in Melvin’s name to Central Wyoming Hospice, Rocky Mountain Oncology or the Angel Network.
