CASPER, Wyo. — While the week has come and gone and a new one is on the way, one thing that won’t change is the likelihood for rain in the Casper area. In fact, every day until Wednesday presents a significant chance for precipitation, including today,

Showers today will most likely come after 5 p.m. and aren’t necessarily a guarantee, as there is only a 20% chance of precipitation. The rest of the day will be sunny and breezy, with a high near 77 degrees and 13–18 mph winds. Winds could, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton, gust at up to 28 mph today,

The slight chance for some showers will carry into the evening, still with a 20% chance of precipitation. The low tonight will get down to 43 degrees, while winds will stick around 10–18 mph.

While the likelihood for rain won’t be particularly strong today, tomorrow is another story, as it presents an 80% chance of precipitation and thunderstorms. The high tomorrow will be around 65 degrees and the day will feature increasingly strong winds, with 11–16 mph winds in the morning growing to 21–26 mph in the afternoon. In total, between a tenth and a quarter of an inch of rainfall is possible tomorrow.

Showers will continue into Monday night, which will have a low of 35 degrees. Winds will stay very strong and the evening will come with a 100% guarantee of precipitation.

Tuesday will also come with a significant chance of precipitation, but with much cooler temps. The high Tuesday will only be around 45 degrees, in fact. Winds will be somewhat calmer than previous days, but will still come in at around 15–18 mph. Tuesday night will also potentially come with some rain and will get as cold as 36 degrees,

The rest of the week will grow increasingly warm following Tuesday and will eventually forget about the notion of pouring rain over the community altogether. See the detailed forecast below for more information.
