Wyoming Department of Transportation officials have released information regarding the fatal crash, that claimed the life of one Idaho man.

A passenger in the one vehicle crash was the deceased, identified as 61-year-old Kirk Bailey.

Wyoming Department of Transportation investigation shows that the Bailey vehicle was southbound on Highway 89, near Kemmerer, in Lincoln County. The vehicle was negotiating a curve in the road where the driver lost control of the vehicle. The curve was described as being icy.

According to a WYDOT crash summary, the Bailey vehicle began to fish-tail and it entered a counter-clockwise yaw as it slid across the northbound lane. The vehicle continued sliding off the northbound shoulder, and tripped as it dropped down an embankment.

The vehicle rolled 1 1/2 times coming to rest on its roof. The driver had been partially ejected during the rollover, and sustained fatal injuries at the scene.

Bailey was described as not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash.
