A single vehicle crash near Glenrock has claimed the life of a Wyoming man.

According to details released by the Wyoming Department of Transportation, the crash occurred just before midnight on July 25th, 2017.

An official crash summary says that 23-year-old Drew Weythman was traveling northbound on I-25, near mile marker 164, just before the crash. Investigators believe that Weythman failed to negotiate a slight left curve in the roadway.

Officials say that evidence at the scene indicated the 2014 Dodge Charger drifted off the right side of the roadway, as there were no indications of sudden steering input or over corrections.

When the Dodge Charger drifted off the right side of the road it traveled several hundred feet in the borrow pit, ran through the right of way fence, went airborn and then rolled numerous times.

While rolling, the Dodge Charger collided with a power pole and crossed an irrigation ditch before coming to rest in a field where it caught fire and was burned beyond recognition. The driver was totally ejected during the rollover.

Weytman was not wearing a safety belt at the time of the crash.

Speed and driver fatigue are currently belived to be contributing factors.

According to the crash summary, toxicology results are pending to determine if alcohol or drug use were contributing factors.
