CASPER, Wyo. —  A suspect accused of wielding a knife and threatening to kill another individual, has waived her preliminary hearing and will have her felony charge bound over to District Court.

The suspect was arrested in Casper on April 13, and was with Aggravated Assault and Battery, a felony. The charge carries a potential penalty of ten years incarceration, a fine of $10,000 or both.

All of those cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filings from the Natrona County District Attorney’s Office.

Paperwork filed in the case say that police responded to a private home in a residential neighborhood, in Casper, where witnesses reported a female suspect had been upset and was in possession of a knife, while confronting another individual.

Witnesses report that after an individual had locked themselves in another room, the suspect attempted to kick down the door. and stabbed the door with a knife. The suspect is also accused of saying that they were going to kill the individual in the bedroom.

The affidavit goes on to allege that the suspect showed signs of intoxication, at the time of police contact.

Court documents identify the suspect as Natasha Heisey, age 34. She made her initial appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court on April 14, 2021, and her case is now in District Court, where she is expected to be scheduled for arraignment at a later date.
