Investigators with the Casper Police Department are saying that two robberies over the weekend in Casper, might be related.
Casper Police Sergeant Mike Ogden says that they are investigating possible links between the December 29th robbery of Wyoming Hot Wings, and the December 31st robbery of the Big D gas station and convenience store.
Police officials have released little information about either robbery, pointing out that both instances are still under investigation.
The robbery of Wyoming Hot Wings on December 30th, 2017 is said to have happened at a bout 7:45pm, on the 1800 block of East 12th Street.
No injuries occurred during the robbery, and no arrest have been made.
On December 31st at approximately 9:08pm the Big D Sinclair gas station located at 1200 block of East 12th Street was robbed by a male subject brandishing a gun.
The suspect left the gas station with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10” with an average build.
No injuries were reported during the robbery.
This will mark the second time in 2017 that the Big D gas station was robbed. According to police the same location was robbed during the evening hours of November 25th. The suspect in that case was a white male subject wearing two hoodies. In the November 25th incident, the suspect entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and then exited the business.
Ogden says that they do not currently believe the November incident to be connected with the New Years Eve robbery.
Two other robberies followed the November 25th incident at Big D. A unsuccessful robbery attempt of Partytime Liquors occurred, on the 1300 block of South McKinley street, at approximately 8:15 pm on November 30th. Then, approximately fifteen minutes later, USA Gas, a convenience store and gas station on CY Ave and Poplar Ave was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash.
No arrests have been made from the November 25th nor the November 30th robberies.
