A Hiland, Wyoming woman was arrested on drug and child endangerment charges, Thursday night, after Casper Police pulled her over for driving without headlamps.
According to arrest paperwork, Eva Marie Gunn of Hiland Wyoming, was contacted in the city of Casper, by police, who observed Gunn driving at night, in the rain, with her headlights out.
Police say that upon pulling Gunn over, the occupants of the vehicle were observed making “furtive moments,” and reaching around the car. Once officers were able to approach the vehicle, it was observed that Gunn had two minor children in the car with her.
Officers say that Gunn has an extensive history with controlled substance charges, and requested an assist from police K9 units. During a subsequent search of the car, officers say they discovered a methamphetamine “bong,” and officers also observed that the juvenile safety seat in the car was not securely fastened.
The arrest affidavit says that Gunn admitted to having the methamphetamine bong in her car, but denied ownership of it, and further denied to tell officers who the owner was. Gunn is also said to have stetted that a young child in the car, at the time of the police contact, was not secured properly in their car seat.
Gunn was arrested and booked into jail on two charges of Child Endangerment- Methamphetamine, one charge of Controlled Substance Possession- Meth, One charge of Failure to Maintain Insurance, and a citation for a boken headlight.
Charges are subject to change, and all suspects in criminal cases are presumed innocent until otherwise proven in a court of law.
