CASPER, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Riverton is predicting inclement weather for Natrona County this weekend, with some wintry precipitation in the forecasts for each of the next two days.

Today, snow showers are likely before 10 a.m., followed by a 50% chance of rain and snow showers scattered throughout the rest of the morning and early afternoon. Temperatures are expected to climb as the day progresses, ultimately reaching a high of about 47 degrees. Moderate winds could blow at up to 16 mph, with gusts of up to 23 mph possible.

At night, area residents can expect scattered rain showers before midnight and then rain and snow showers between midnight and 4 a.m. After that, snow showers will again be likely leading into the early Sunday morning hours. Meanwhile, temperatures are likely to fall to a low of around 30.

Sunday will again feature rain and snow showers before 11 a.m., followed by scattered rain showers throughout the rest of the day as temperatures reach a high near 43 degrees.

Sunday night’s forecast predicts a low of 29 degrees as evening rain showers before 8 p.m. are likely to become a mix of rain and snow showers between 8 p.m. and midnight.
