CASPER, Wyo. — For the first time since 2010, the Casper College Lady Thunderbirds secured an opening-round win against the Blinn College Buccaneers 72–61 at the Ford Wyoming Events Center.
Today, the team will go against last year’s national champions, the Northwest Florida State College Raiders (27–3), ranked No. 3 in this year’s tournament. Tip-off is at 4:30 p.m.
“All Wyoming basketball fans, fans of Casper College, and everyone else are urged to attend tomorrow’s game in person at the FWEC. We need and want a large and rocking crowd to cheer the T-Birds on to victory,” said Chris Lorenzen, director of public relations. “Today’s crowd was fantastic and made a difference for the team. It was truly a fun time cheering on the home team Thunderbirds.”
