Casper has a new baseball team coming its way, the new summer collegiate team is being formally announced next week.
The Expedition League will make the formal announcement and launch the new Casper, Wyoming sports franchise.
The Expedition League is a 10-team summer collegiate wood bat baseball league, set to begin play in May 2018. The team will play at Mike Lansing Field through a partnership with Casper Baseball Club, Inc. Planned announcements include a formal lease agreement, introduction of team owners, and more.
Casper City officials are expected to attend, as well as Expedition League President Steve Wagner, Casper team owners Chuck and Mayra Heeman.
The announcement will be the formal launch of college wood bat summer league team and update on team and league items
The general public is invited the event.
