Oil City News, The Natrona County Public Library, and The Table will present Casper’s first Ignite event at the Adbay Theatre* (627 West Yellowstone), May 18 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
“Ignite” is a series of speedy presentations. Presenters will speak to twenty slides, which advance automatically every 15 seconds. The result is fast and fun storytelling that lasts just five minutes per speaker. Event organizers say that the goal is to enlighten, but to do so quickly.
Casper storytellers include Deb Clark, Matthew Farnsworth, Elliott Ramage, George Vlastos, and Anna Wilcox. The event will include building tours, music, giveaways, and food prepared by Pathway students.
Libby Hugus, pastor of The Table, says that sees the intrinsic value of storytelling. Last summer, she and other teachers hosted “Storytelling on the Circle” at the Bart Rea Learning Circle, as part of the Education On The Circle program.

*Note: Due to an unavoidable scheduling conflict, the IGNITE venue has been changed from the Pathways Innovation Center to the Adbay theatre, located in the Old Yellowstone District at 627 West Yellowstone.
