Oil City News is sponsoring an event in conjunction with Adbay and the Natrona County School District: TEDxCasperLive. A live simulcast from the 2017 TED Conference stage. Starting at noon, Casper is invited to explore “the future you” with some of the world’s leading thinkers, scientists, artists and writers via a live video feed of the main stage speakers at the TED Conference being held in Vancouver. The event is completely free, and open to everyone.
Keeping in line with the idea of “the future you,” City of Casper’s Aaron Kloke will be at the event with Generation Casper materials for attendees to examine and review. It has been nearly one year since the City of Casper started the Generation Casper process, a comprehensive plan update. Since that time data has been collected looking for opportunities for growth, and public input has been received. With the data the hope is to understand what residents want for the future of Casper. A draft of the plan was recently made available, to be reviewed by the public.
Public comment period for the draft plan is May 19th.
The simulcast will be presented in the Adbay screening room, located at 627 West Yellowstone. Refreshments will be provided. Three sessions/topics will be offered:
Noon – 1:45 PM: “Bugs and Bodies”
3:15 -5 :00 PM: “It’s Personal”
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM – “Tales of Tomorrow”
