The City of Casper has released a statement, reminding that Casper bars, restaurants, and other alcohol-selling establishments have been granted the opportunity to serve alcohol until 2:00 a.m. on the night of Sunday, August 20th.
The law in Casper usually restricts the hours for alcohol sales on Sundays. Bars, restaurants, and liquor stores usually have to stop selling alcohol at 10:00 p.m. on Sundays, but they are allowed to sell until 2:00 a.m. every other day of the week.
However, the Casper City Council has the authority to grant an exception to that law, and in this case, they did decide to extend hours of permitted liquor sales. This Sunday only – August 20th – bars, restaurants, liquor stores, and similar establishments will be allowed to sell alcohol from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. on the morning of Monday, August 21st.
Although the evening hours have been extended, the morning hours will not be changed. Liquor selling establishments are not allowed to open until 10:00 a.m. in the morning on Sundays, and that restriction will still be in place this weekend.
Staying open until 2:00 a.m. is not a requirement. The city says that many restaurants, bars, and liquor stores will choose to maintain their normal business hours.
