The Casper Recreation Center is offering youth visual arts and cooking classes this summer. The classes range from 5 to 8 week in length, beginning the week of June 12th.

Youth Art & Pottery – Bring out your creative side and get an introduction to drawing, painting, and working with clay (hand building & throwing on the wheel)! All supplies are furnished. Class is held on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.

Basics of Photography for Youth – This class is for beginners interested in taking good pictures and learning to use camera settings. Ages 10-17 will experiment with a wide variety of backgrounds and lighting techniques. Bring a digital camera. Class meets from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Mondays.

Kid’s Cooking – Summer is coming, is it getting too hot to bake? This new class for ages 7-12 is a no baking class, where the kids will learn simple breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert recipes. A few of the quick recipes will include pizza, crepes, brain salad, mason jar meals, cinnamon rolls, etc. Every student will bring home recipes and a sample of their creation. Class held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
