CASPER, Wyo. — Bars, restaurants, package stores and more throughout Natrona County will be able to continue serving liquor through the coming year after the Board of County Commissioners voted unanimously to renew 17 licenses at its Tuesday meeting, though one license was denied.

The following local businesses had their liquor licenses renewed:

  • Alcova Lakeside Marina
  • Sunset Bar and Grill
  • The Horseshoe Bar
  • Lazy 8
  • North Platte Lodge
  • Reef Fly Shop/Rusty Scud
  • Mountain Home
  • Season’s Hall
  • Mile High Tight Ends
  • Trout on Inn Lodge and Cabins by the River
  • Casper Boat Club
  • Casper Country Club
  • Sloane’s General Store
  • Pathfinder Boat and Fishing Club
  • Central Wyoming Fair and Rodea
  • Hokkaido Ramen House
  • Casper-Natrona County International Airport

Denied from a liquor license renewal was local bar Northern Dreams. In 2023, the Board of Commissioners ultimately approved the license despite renovations and remodeling being delayed after the business owner did not seek building permits.

At Tuesday’s meeting, County Attorney Jared Holbrook informed commissioners that the owner still has not sought building permits or other necessary paperwork.

“Remodeling has not been finished,” Holbrook said. “Since this time last year, permits have not been pulled. And according to our building department, he has not worked with [them].”

Commissioner Jim Milne said that because of that, they had no choice but to deny the renewal request.

“We spent a lot of time a year ago with the applicant trying to explain in great detail what was expected and what he needed to do,” Commissioner Peter Nicolaysen added.
