CASPER, Wyo. — Travis Glasgow is a local Casper graphic artist and photographer. He infuses photography from around Wyoming into his subjects — mostly wildlife — using the double-exposure style.

His work takes his own landscape photos of mountains, trees, and rivers and blends them into images of animals using a Graphic Image Manipulation Program, which is similar to Photoshop.

Glasgow has lived in Casper most of his life, and you can see the influences of living in Wyoming in his art. Many of his landscapes and western themes have blended with scenes from Yellowstone to Devil’s Tower to give his art a distinctly Wyoming look.

He has been a graphic designer for the last 20 years and started to blend the graphic scenery with animals five years ago. After finding his niche, he started selling his work and he started an online store, 307 Store. You can also access his work through Facebook.

“I enjoy merging the two disciplines of photography and graphic design. I love the outdoors and taking my camera with me to capture beautiful scenes. I’m always thinking of unique and creative ways to express what I see and how I feel when capturing images,” said Glasgow.

Glasgow has been working on new art, with several pieces being seasonal for spring and summer.

Glasgow’s “Rugged Beauty” is rotating on display at the Wyoming State Museum and the State Capitol. Glasgow had previous work on display at ART 321 in Casper and plans to show new work in the future, including at galleries around the state. He also donated a piece to the Natrona County Public Library.
