The Natrona County Sheriff, Gus Holbrook, held a swiftly planned press briefing on Tuesday afternoon, regarding a suspicious package that was found at Casper Natrona County International Airport.
Security officials flagged the package as suspicious in the screening area of the airport, causing a clearance of the area.
The item was determined not to be a threat to the public, following investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. After reading a Sheriff’s Department statement (video below), Sheriff Holbrook took questions from the media. During that time he identified the suspicious item as a refurbished tablet computer, that had been refurbished with external components that would normally be on the inside of the device.
